This artwork was created out in the mountains at Kattfjoreidet, just 35 minutes from Tromsø. It's January and the sun has just returned after months of darkness. But then suddenly it comes over the edge of the mountain. Just as beautiful. Just as magical every year.
Small ice drops remain and roll on the art paper . Ice drops that form quickly from the water on my brush.
It's cold. Cold on my drawing fingers, but I'm used to it. Smiling deep inside my heart as I sit here alone. Feeling lucky. Drinking my tea, packing up and telemark skiing down the mountain.
Now my soul is at peace.
